The Turlock Fire Department will hold an open house on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The City of Turlock lists the event on its homepage as an invitation to join the department for facility tours and community engagement. An open house like this is a low-pressure way to see a station up close and ask questions.
Other items on the city’s calendar this season include a job fair on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Life Christian Center, 2918 W. Tuolumne Road, where the city says more than 50 employers will take part and help with résumés is offered. Fresno State’s RISE program is also listing virtual classes in digital literacy, financial education, parenting and small-business training starting the week of Oct. 19.
