Oakdale, You Can't Fake This Stuff.
We rebuilt the EAS website about a month ago. Then something funny happened.
I searched for app development in Oakdale.
Not our company name. Not "Epic App Solutions." Not some carefully engineered branded search designed to make us look good.
I searched for what somebody looking for a developer would actually search for: Oakdale app development.
And there we were. Right up there in the search results.
Here's the Part That Makes It Interesting
We don't even have some giant established client roster in Oakdale.
We've been doing pro bono work, building, publishing, improving the site and proving what we can do.
Yet when someone asks Google who does this kind of work in Oakdale, Epic App Solutions is showing up prominently.
That matters. Because search engines do not care how long your business has existed, how impressive your business card looks, or how many times somebody calls themselves an expert.
The result has to be earned.
So Where Is Everybody Else?
That's the question.
There may be companies that have served this area longer than we have. There may be developers with larger portfolios, longer histories or more local clients.
But on this search, at this moment, they weren't ahead of us.
That doesn't mean those businesses don't exist. It means they didn't win this search.
And if your business is selling websites, apps, digital services or online growth, that should probably bother you.
I'm Not Asking You to Believe Me
Search it. That's the beautiful part.
I don't need to tell you how brilliant we are. I don't need a trophy. I don't need somebody standing beside me saying we know what we're doing.
Open Google. Type the search. Look at the page.
Facts are inconvenient like that.
Hire a Developer.
Seriously. If your company makes money helping businesses compete online, you should probably be able to compete online yourself.
We rebuilt our website. We published. We worked. And now Oakdale is starting to see us.
You can argue with me. Arguing with the search results is a little harder.
