A local Renaissance Faire is running on weekends through Oct. 25, giving families and history-fantasy fans a fall event that stretches beyond a single weekend.
Multi-week events are especially useful for regional tourism because residents do not have to rearrange everything around one date. They can choose a weekend, build a day around it and add food or shopping nearby.
And yes, if somebody shows up speaking in medieval English for the rest of the afternoon, that is between them and their family.
