Ask a marketing company how your campaign performed.
If the answer is a sentence full of words like “awareness,” “buzz,” “visibility,” “engagement” and “community presence,” ask one more question:
How much?
How many people saw it?
How many clicked?
How many called?
How many scanned the code?
How many requested directions?
How many leads were generated?
How many sales can reasonably be connected to the campaign?
How many of those people were new?
Marketing can have value that is difficult to tie directly to one sale. Brand awareness is real.
But “hard to measure perfectly” is not the same thing as “we do not measure anything.”
A professional agency should be able to show you what it tracks and explain what those numbers mean.
