The Rec Desk

What the parks & recreation departments around the 719 are doing — registration windows, league signups, pool season, senior programs, and the parades each town’s rec office puts on. This is not a live feed of everything rec: the desk rotates the cards below as the seasons turn. The directory of departments underneath is the permanent part — it’s the answer to “who runs rec in my town.”

Departments & coaches: run sign-ups + print player cards here →

The desk rule: every card names the department’s own page and the day we last checked it. Programs get described from the city’s own site — if a rec item can’t be pointed at publicly, it doesn’t run here.
Thursday, October 1: 1 of 5 desk items showing — Fall registration season. The desk rotates these cards as the departments’ seasons turn.

In the rotation

The cards the desk is carrying this week. Each one names its source and the day it was last checked — the department’s own page is always the last word.

Run a rec program — or coach one? If your town’s rec office is putting something on that isn’t here, or a flyer needs a bigger audience, send it to the desk: email the desk. Departments get listed free — this page is a public service, not advertising.

The rotation is curated by the desk, not scraped live — cards come in when a registration window opens or a town event gets close, and go out when they’re stale. Each card names where it came from and the day it was last checked. Departments run their own pages and their own registration systems; the official link is always the last word.
