Goes to a real person, sugar -- not some ol' queue.
What the parks & recreation departments around the 505 are doing — registration windows, league signups, pool season, senior programs, and the parades each town’s rec office puts on. This is not a live feed of everything rec: the desk rotates the cards below as the seasons turn. The directory of departments underneath is the permanent part — it’s the answer to “who runs rec in my town.”

The cards the desk is carrying this week. Each one names its source and the day it was last checked — the department’s own page is always the last word.
The Balloon Fiesta Park fields run the world’s biggest balloon meet for nine days -- morning ascensions, evening glows, and park-and-ride from the malls. Tickets and the daily schedule are on the official site.
The departments below are posting fall classes, leagues and center programs now. Albuquerque’s catalog is the deepest; the smaller towns run their season through their own rec pages and community centers.
Cooler weather puts the Rio Grande bosque, the county’s open-space properties and the Sandia foothill trailheads in season. Field and park rentals book through the county’s new online registration.
Everything the rec departments do lands in one of these lanes. Tap one to filter the rotation above.
The permanent directory -- every department links to its own site, where registration, hours and the current guide actually live.
The region’s biggest catalog: community centers, pools, open space, Balloon Fiesta Park, youth and adult leagues, senior programs and facility rentals.
Community centers (Cabezon, Haynes), the Aquatic Center, 40+ sports fields and a full rentals program for the fastest-growing city in the state.
77 developed parks, ~170 miles of trails, the Railyard Park and the rec complexes -- Genoveva Chavez, Fort Marcy, Salvador Perez.
Town parks, sports facilities and open space along the Rio Grande -- run through the Public Works department.
The recreation center, municipal pool, Top Form Arena, Liam Knight pond and the village’s fields, parks and open spaces.
Four divisions -- facilities, open space, parks, recreation -- running programs, events and the village’s park system out of 101 Courthouse Rd SE.
Programs and events for all ages out of the rec office at 305 Eagle Lane -- weekday hours run into the evening.
Town parks and trails in the East Mountains -- Venus Park, the Community Park and Bassett Park, with seasonal events off the town calendar.
Crossley Park, Civic Park and the town’s Route 66-side green space -- city events and private rentals through the municipal office.
Community centers, sports fields and fitness, senior programming, the bosque and East Mountain open-space properties, and online park/field reservations for the whole county -- the 505’s lead county system.
The rotation is curated by the desk, not scraped live — cards come in when a registration window opens or a town event gets close, and go out when they’re stale. Each card names where it came from and the day it was last checked. Departments run their own pages and their own registration systems; the official link is always the last word.
