
Mayor Yemi Mobolade named Shawna Lippert the city’s Economic Development Officer, effective Sept. 14.
Lippert previously served as Economic Development Manager and Acting Economic Development Director, and earlier held economic development roles at UCCS. She holds a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico Highlands University and a UCCS MBA. The city credits her with helping attract Swire Coca-Cola USA, Invictus International Consulting and Nooks, supporting Forge at Peak Innovation Park and co-leading the effort to create CHIPS Zones in Colorado Springs.
“She brings deep experience, proven leadership, and genuine commitment to helping businesses and entrepreneurs succeed,” Mobolade said.
