Albuquerque residents are invited to volunteer on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Imagine ABQ Day.
Volunteers pick up supplies and join neighborhood cleanup and beautification projects at five hubs: Fire Station 12 (201 Muriel St. NE), Fire Station 5 (123 Dallas St. NE), Next Chapter Studios in Nob Hill (109 Hermosa Dr. SE), Revamp Upholstery in Barelas (916 4th St. SW) and Sunset and Central in the Bosque.
The “Breaking Bad Habits” team is partnering on the day, with appearances by the Salamanca Cousins at a free Barelas mural reveal (10:30 a.m.–noon, 507 4th St. SW) and a free celebration at Triangle Park in Nob Hill (1:30–3 p.m., 2901 Central Ave. NW). A third appearance is at the ticketed New Mexico United game that evening.
“Imagine ABQ Day is a great opportunity for residents to take action in their own neighborhoods, connect with their neighbors and celebrate what we can accomplish together,” said Councilor Nichole Rogers.
