The 54th Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta runs Oct. 3–11 at Balloon Fiesta Park, 4401 Alameda Blvd. N.E.
The event’s own site lists the signature experiences: Dawn Patrol pre-dawn flights, Mass Ascension launches, Balloon Glows, the Special Shape Rodeo and the Night Magic Glow. It also promotes extras beyond the balloons, including drone light shows, fireworks and chainsaw carving demonstrations.
This year’s new piece is a reworked Music Fiesta, presented by New Mexico Honda Dealers, on Saturday, Oct. 10. Russell Dickerson, Dasha and Nathaniel Krantz are listed to perform, folded into the Night Magic Glow with a drone light show and fireworks.
