Albuquerque's fall calendar has another downtown chapter this weekend. The Balloon Fiesta ran October 3–11, but FUSION's Rising High Arts Festival continues through Sunday, October 18, with a different event on each of the next three days.
Friday brings local comedy.
Rising High Comedy Night is on Friday's schedule at FUSION's The Cell. The festival description mentions a local comedy lineup and a DJ afterparty. Because the listing shows different start times in its schedule and description, confirm the event time with FUSION before heading over.
Saturday's market runs late.
The ABQ Headbangers Market returns to FUSION on Saturday, October 17, from 3 to 10 p.m. The organizer describes it as a gathering for heavy metal, local music, art, small businesses and their community. FUSION is at 700–708 First Street NW.
Sunday has two very different sounds.
Unity in Rhythm is scheduled for Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. The festival also lists an evening release party for Albuquerque musician Dee Brown at 5 p.m. at FUSION. Festival events have different prices and ticket arrangements, so use the individual listings rather than assuming one pass covers everything.
The 54th Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta concluded October 11; the official schedule confirms the nine-day run. For the rest of the weekend, check FUSION's Rising High schedule and the Balloon Fiesta's official event calendar before heading out.
